Exploring music through multiple modalities...

Key Musical Experiences:

Recording and Mixing

Audio & Acoustics Engineering

As mentioned in my bio, music has long been an integral part of my life. Starting with my family's electric organ when I was a young child, I have always been fascinated with emotional expression using sound. My formal education and training have been centered on concert and marching percussion, but I have since branched into a variety of other instruments, styles, and performance venues.

I have been employed as a professional musician with the Atlanta Falcons Drumline, played for corporate gigs across multiple states, toured with drum and bugle corps and indoor percussion theaters, developed music technology routines through various ensemble classes, and been a member of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket Marching Band and Drumline for years. My musical experience expanded when I got my first appointment teaching music at a high school in Roswell. I have also helped teach the drumline at my alma mater, Georgia Tech.

Some of my performance highlights include playing in Arizona with the KKΨ/TBΣ National Intercollegiate Honor Band under Col. John R. Bourgeois, the Director Emeritus of the United States Marine Band; performing on stage at the National Brass Symposium with the principal brass from the Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cleveland, and other symphony orchestras; and being filmed as a percussionist in the sequel to one of the most successful film productions of all time.

I always strive to find time to explore music on a personal level. Whether it's playing piano, vocals, guitar, bass guitar, drumset, or any other type of percussion, I enjoy recording and working on musical projects in my home studio. Aside from that, I regularly use audio and media editing software such as Pro Tools, Logic, and Max/MSP to perform various sound editing and design tasks for school, work, or just freelance activities.
